Nucleic Acid Preparation Solutions
The isolation of intact, high quality DNA is key to most molecular biology applications, including PCR, sequencing, micro-arrays and genotyping. Automation of purification processes saves time and labour allowing you to focus on analysing data. The Xiril Robotic Workstation is a cost-effective solution for numerous walk-away automations. Various commercial kits have been implemented for off-the-shelf routine use and others can easily be implemented with customisation of existing solutions. |

Agencourt CleanSeq
CleanSEQ is a SPRI™-based (Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization) dye-terminator removal system for rapid, high performance sequencing clean up. There is no centrifugation or filtration required and tests can be fully automated. SPRI is a nucleic acid purification technology based on the selective immobilization of nucleic acids onto magnetic microparticles. Xiril offers user-friendly protocols for automation of this magnetic bead-based technology. |

Promega MagneSil RNA and DNA Isolation
The MagneSil® Genomic DNA isolation technique purifies DNA suitable for end-point PCR and real-time PCR. The MagneSil® Total RNA system purifies total RNA for downstream expression profiling amplification reactions (end-point and real-time PCR). Both techniques can be performed simultaneously on the same robotic platform. |

Promega DNA IQ
The Promega DNA IQ™ system is based on magnetic bead technology for DNA isolation. It uses a paramagnetic resin, which is applied to capture a consistent amount of DNA and has a defined DNA capacity in the presence of excess DNA. This property is used to isolate 100 ng of DNA which is eluted into 100 μl elution buffer to obtain a concentration of approximately 1ng/μl. Consequently, the user can bypass the quantification step which is usually required in other purification procedures. Applying standard protocols, Xiril Robotic Workstations ensure efficient DNA isolation using the DNA IQ system for a broad variety of sample types including whole blood, bone, hair, different tissue, cigarette butts, bloodstains, etc. |
