Liquid Handling Robotic Workstations
Simple but clever combination of liquid handling and robotic manipulation opens up the field of liquid handling automation by providing affordable solutions for even the smallest of workloads all the way up to high throughputs.
The space-saving, open pipetting robots are available in 75cm, 100cm or 150cm footprints and can be adapted to suit a wide range of Life Science and Diagnostic applications with optional arm and pipette configurations and simple integration of modular hardware components. Sophisticated Liquid Handling Robotics
Xiril has a 1-, 2-, 4-, or 8-channel pipette arm that covers the volume range 2-1000ul. As a state-of-the-art liquid handling robotic workstation, each pipette can be controlled individually enabling independent Y and Z movement. Disposable tips with and without filters can even be used within the same pipetting process to balance contamination risk and cost control.
For that extra edge in speed and high throughput you can add a second arm with up to 8 pipette channels or even a 96-tip head. Unlike other systems that extend the worktable, we simply mount the second arm onto the same axis.
Evolution of an automated electronic hand pipette
Xiril incorporates the established technology of electronic hand pipettes into a flexible robotic workstation to create an accurate and precise liquid handling robot. We use air displacement to aspirate and dispense liquids to eliminate dilution and reduce contamination risk. Each pipette is equipped with an individual pressure-based sensor system for liquid level detection, clot detection and clogged tip detection so we can provide you with the reliability you expect from an automated liquid handling workstation.
Streamlined, service-friendly, safer
Intelligent engineering incorporates the electronics, motors and pipettes into the centrally mounted arm and out of sight. This solid, innovative design brings the pipettes closer to the tip to increase accuracy and eliminate service and maintenance intensive tubing, valves and syringes, whilst maximising mechanical precision.
The embedded PC reduces installation time and eliminates the need for extra work space. Together with a networking port, USB ports and printer connection you can record, print and export test results and create data backups with total confidence.
Is it a pipette? Is it a plate handler?
Cost-effective and multi-functional at the same time? A clever design makes it a reality! Simply by utilising the pipette adapters for other tasks aside from picking up tips, the list of additional skills can grow while the extra cost is kept down to a minimum.
